AI Technology
Google Gemini with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) - Powers the conversational AI experience with Rumi's wisdom
What Data We Share: Your chat messages, conversation history, session ID, and user ID (if logged in) are sent to Google Gemini to generate personalised responses.
How It's Used: Google Gemini processes your data according to their privacy policy to generate responses based on Rumi's teachings.
Authentication
Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In - Secure authentication services
These services have their own privacy policies and comply with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR.
Data Location & Transfer
Your data is stored and processed on servers located in London, United Kingdom. We ensure that all data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR.
Account Deletion & Data Retention
Important: When you delete your account through the Profile screen, this action is immediate and cannot be undone.
What happens when you delete your account:
- Your account is immediately deactivated and you will be logged out
- All personal data (name, email, favorites, chat history) is permanently removed from our active systems
- For compliance and backup purposes, data may remain in our backend systems for up to 3 weeks before complete deletion
- This action cannot be reversed - you will need to create a new account to use RumiOne again
To delete your account, go to Profile → Delete Account in the app.
Age Requirements
App Store Content Rating: 4+
Content is suitable for all ages
In-App Age Requirement: 17+
RumiOne requires users to be 17 years or older. This is enforced through age verification.
Age Verification
When you first open RumiOne, you will be asked to enter your birth year to verify you are 17 or older. This information is used solely for age verification and is not stored on our servers.
Why 17+?
While our content (poetry and wisdom) is appropriate for all ages, we require users to be 17+ to ensure mature understanding of spiritual and philosophical themes, and to comply with data protection regulations.
For Users Under 17
If you are under 17, you will not be able to access RumiOne. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Children's Privacy
RumiOne is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
